But that was the motive; take all the money in the safe and as stated by Dick leave no witnesses.
One has to feel humanity for Dick and Perry, but do not confuse almsgiving with mercy or forgiveness. Perry was poor his entire life and with a very dysfunctional family and what he had went through as a child, from being beaten to eventually getting into his motorcycle accident, indeed, the world probably seemed to him that it was against him at every turn.
