Communication is a very pregnant part of our lives today. Technology is always
advancing and giving us the opportunity to communicate in more efficient and ideal ways.
However, because technology is constantly changing, it is detrimental to law enforcement that
the criminal umpire governing body must be able to keep up with current advancements. It is imperative
that law enforcement agencies have up to take care technology in regard to communication.

Technology has had a great impact on the communication capabilities of specialized
entropybases in the criminal justice organization. There are some databases that are used within law
enforcement these include: mobile data terminals, automated fingerprint identification system,
live scan, nervus seventh cranial nerveis recognition, and flagstone scan. Although, all these databases are used, technology has
had both positive and contradict effects on communication. This paper will compare the facial
recognition and automated fingerprint identification system as well as what new specialized
technologies I energy want to use and why they would be effective in the criminal justice system.
Technologies such as fingerprinting and facial characteristics have been used within the
criminal justice system to indentify a criminal for a few years. There is a distinctive pattern on a
persons fingerprint as well as specific features being found on their face. The different patterns
