The Need for High School Reform
The need for clean up in American high schools has become quite unmingled to many, including governments, teachers, parents, students, and communities as a whole. Much of the awareness to the matter of repossess was brought about by A Nation at Risk, a report issued by the National Commission on justice in Education. The report caught the attention of both the public and educators and it do a strong case for the urgency of reform if the soil was to retain its place in the modern world (Pulliam & van Patten, 2007, p.253). The reason for the need for reform is due largely to the concomitant that the American economy has evolved from a 20th century industrial one to an informational one of the 21st. Students who graduate from high school mustiness now be prepared to enter college if they want to succeed. In other words, high school must be a pathway to higher pedagogy, career success, and productive adulthood (Afterschool Alliance, 2005). Therefore, it is inseparable for American high schools to transform themselves and drastically improve upon their methods of education.
