Practical Ministry as distinctionment
I feel that my spiritual life at this point in time is where I believe that it should be. Sometimes I demoralise caught up in allday life, like working 2 campus jobs and attempt to make sure that I get tout ensemble my work completed on time. I believe that trying to balance my school work and finding time to construe family is non supporting my spiritual life grow. afterwards teaching how god can call on us to help with his work, got me thinking about the times in my life where he may have called upon me and I didnt follow through. sightedness John Westerhoff theory in class makes me more well-provided with my organized religion, and utters that I still have plenty of time for my faith to grow.
In class we talked about all the ways idol can call on us, an example that was used was a clip from Bruce Almighty. In the clip Bruce is blaming God for all the unsound things that have happened to him that day. Later Bruce is ask God for a sign and ends up getting in a car accident. After seeing what happens to Bruce it makes people feel like God is not listening or doesnt care about what happens in life.
The thing that people do not understand is that withal though God may not give a sign or answer right away, doesnt mingy that hes not paying attention to their needs. At times we may think that God is ignoring us or just does not care about us still we just have to believe that he really is in that respect for us and he is answering us slowly hardly surely.
A thing that I try to avoid is postulation God to give me a sign or show up in moments is unless it is an absolute emergency. I know that if I ask God to help me out in a tough moment, I can not just veer the signs he me give me cause that would defeat the purpose of asking for help in the first place. At the same time I cant go around and for every little thing throughout day ask God for a sign, for example asking to let me pass an exam, or a class.
