Period 8
Lab Report
Density of Liquids
Statement of the Problem:
Which watery has the gr swallowest density and which has the lowest density?
Hypothesis:
My assumption was that the milk will have the greatest density and the fee water would have the least density.
Materials and Safety:
100 mL have cylinder
Triple beam balance
Milk
Tap body of water
Pepsi
fodder Pepsi
brininess wet
Apple Juice
Make sure the crystal clears does not spill and observe graduated cylinder from the edge
Do not drink nor eat anything
Procedure:
1. Record the mass of the cylinder. This is your incantation number.
2. Record the promise of the liquid in the data table.
3. Put some liquid in the graduated cylinder. It does not matter how much you compose in as long as you read the graduated cylinder accurately.
4. Calculate the mass of the liquid by subtracting the magic number and the mass of the liquid.
5. spill out the contents of the graduated cylinder into the container provided
6. Pour a fresh sample of the liquid in the graduated cylinder.
It does not matter how much you put in as long as you read the graduated cylinder accurately.
7. Record the mass and volume under Trial 2.
8. Pour the contents of the graduated cylinder into the container provided.
9. Follow your teachers directions on how to proceed to follow data for additional liquids.
