My ethnic group did face a lot of prejudice, segregation, and racism. When we where first brought to this country, we came as slaves. We where to do what ever so our get the hang told us to do, which included: plowing fields, filling cotton, clean their homes, caring for their children, and even cooking for them. They would rape the women and beat them if they ever spoke word of it. They where called names like: nigga, monkey, and would call the men boys and the women girls. I heard a lot of this information, first hand, from my great grandmother.
