A forest excitement has been raging for five days in the Neighborhood, population 64,200. Firefighters are battling to gain control of the forest fire, health care workers battling to contain patients breathing. City officials are urging residents to stay indoors and non go out unless it is necessary referable to the blackened winds. The smoky air is affecting everyone, but those with pre-existing lung problems are suffering the most.
Hospital-The local hospital is full of patients affected by the lowlife of the fire in the Neighborhood. The emergency department is in deal of beds, but none are available. The staff is stressed due to the pressure to discharge other patients to make beds available for those in the emergency department.
Senior Center-Karen has been a geriatric nurse for 30 years. She has been working at the Neighborhood Senior Center for 5 years.
