Abstract
English and Spanish proficiency in Hispanic immigrants in South Florida is alter by numerous factors, two of which argon eld of immigration to the U.S. and degree of appellation with the Hispanic or American farming. This authorship aims to analyze the Pearson correlation between the factors and English then Spanish proficiency. One hundred and thirty nine participants who were born in Spanish speaking countries and now reside in the U.S. were watch using a modified version of the Langu age fellowship and Proficiency Questionnaire (LEAP-Q). All four correlations where significant showing that age of immigration to the U.S is inversely related to English proficiency entirely positively related to Spanish proficiency and degree of identification to each culture is positively related to its native talking to respectively.
