RUSSIAN/ITALIAN/GERMAN UNIFICATION

The Congress of capital of Austria in 1814 led to the Quadruple Alliance’s(Britain, Russia, Austria and Prussia) decision to afford regular congress to protect the peace in Europe. tear down with this, Russia creates its own alliance, the Holy Alliance, hoping to get all of Europe’s nations to join. A few years after this, the December vicissitude came in 1825. There were 4 main characters in the unification of Italy: Mazzini, headmaster Em mankinduel 2nd, Cavour, and Garibaldi. Mazzini was responsible for forming a group called “ young person Italy” and his main goal was to make a social and political revolution. He was a part of the Carbonan which wanted freedom from alien rule, and he too believed in popular democracy.



Even though he had many successes his greatest failure was the Roman Republic. Victor Emmanuel 2nd took part in the war against Austria and was the first poove to rule the unified Italy. He supported Risorgimento and strengthened the kingdom. Cavour served in the Sardinian and became prime minister in 1852. He also got Austria out of Italy. Last but not least Garibaldi who linked the Young Italy freedom movement was a self-educated man and preceded Mazzini.
